This award’s name is literally the most contradictory because mate if you knew me you would know that I am actually a hurricane vaguely resembling a human shape. I neither neat nor real so I don’t know what I’m doing.

All the thanks to Ryann @Ryann the Reader for nominating me despite my blog’s overall messiness and lack of chill (too much fangirling happens)! You should check that amazing blog out and let’s get to it.

The Rules:

  • Display the award logo on your blog
  • Thank the folks who nominated you and provide links to their blogs
  • Answer the 7 questions asked by your nominator(s)
  • Nominate any number of other bloggers to share the award and give them some linky love
  • Notify the nominated folk
  • Ask the nominees 7 questions of your own

1.What makes you follow a blog?

Ahhh I really don’t like answering this question? I mean…it differs A LOT.

1.THE LOOKS. Sweet smol summer child, when you are little and playing in a cardboard box with your toys, gleefully innocent and the world tells you not to judge a book by it’s cover…well know that THE WORLD LIES. Looks are everything. 2.HUMOUR. This varies from person to person but I am particular to fantastically quirky posts, Tumblr memes and sarcasm. 3.THE PERSON ITSELF.

Just so we’re clear: YOU DON’T NEED TO BE ANY OF THESE. Who am I and why does it matter if I follow you and approve of your blog anyway mate? If YOU love YOUR blog that’s all that matters.

2.If you remember, what was your “gateway” book? The book that launched your love of reading?

I always say Harry Potter because that’s the truth: it got me into reading on my own. But before that there was this book my dad used to read to me before bed called The Wonderful Adventures of Nils (Nils Holgerssons underbara resa genom Sverige this is the original title – it isn’t even in Romanian it’s in Swedish YES SWEDISH). It’s about a boy that travels trough Sweden on the back of a goose. It’s so weird and they stopped reading it to me because it became traumatizing.

3.What’s your favorite and/or least favorite book-to-movie adaptation?

Favorite: How to Train your Dragon (of course just…dragons. but I am rather fond of the smol books too mostly because they are everything I would’ve loved as a child and I’m sad I didn’t discover them sooner).

Least favorite: The non existent Percy Jackson movies that I never mention because they do not exist. THEY DO NOT EXIST.

4.Do you have a “comfort book?” A book you reread when you need a pick-me-up?

I have a LIST of comfort books because I find books comforting and cozy and fictional characters are always better then real people.

Harry Potter, Anna and the French Kiss, The Infernal Devices and Percy Jackson.

5.What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever given or received?

Let’s be real I’ve only been alive for a grand total of 15 years: I don’t have that much secret knowledge about the world. I think you unlock those when you reach the status of adulthood and join some secret adults club (…that’s what happens right?).

But the best thing I’ve come to realize over these years is: Nothing really matters and we’re all going to die.

As uncheerful as that sounds it’s helped me gain confidence and be a kinder person. Existentialism is a blessing and a curse.

6.If everyone you met from now on could instantly know one thing about you, what would you want them to know and why?

 That I am very awkward.

We can get that out of the way first so that they have literally 0 expectations. That way I can surprise them later with my winning personality and charms.

7.Is there any sort of random subject/fact/phenomenon that fascinates you?

Very specific regional myths. I spend most of my nights on Wikipedia jumping from weird mythological creature/ghost/paranormal thing to the next because who needs sleep anyway.

(also did you know that in ancient Japan it was believed that there were mythical creatures called a Tsukumogami that are literally possessed tools?…look it up it’s weird I am fascinated and I want one as a pet)

Nominating Bloggers

This is the hardest part, I never now who to nominate because I don’t know who would like to be nominated ever (like…do people usually do these things? do they have most of they posts planned? do they just ignore nominations?? am I being annoying by tagging people into stuff?? WHAT AM I DOING??) soooo….I’ll just use this opportunity to shout out some amazing friends:

Ruby @Rubyraereads

Marta @thecursedbooks

Azia @The Uncharted Word

Tran @bookidote

Chloe @blushingbibliophile

I have minus 1 inspiration for questions so if you do this feel free to use the same ones!

Am I the only one that is this awkward when it comes to tagging? Tell me it’s not just me that is a smol overthinking bean.

  1. OH MY GOD why are we the same person?? My motto is literally “nothing matters, we’re all going to die” 😂. And you’re right, sometimes it gives an extra boost of confidence when I’m feeling more awkward than usual hahaha. Also, please leak your list of comfort books and characters. Much appreciated 👍.

    1. People always say it’s a bit weird but hey it works for me 😂.
Top comfort books real quick that I could think of: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Anna and the French Kiss and Carry On (this last one mostly because it takes place on Christmas and it’s about soft boys so much love highly recommend).

    1. I am sure we would be the bestest of friends BUT I still consider you all my friends even if we’ve never met irl ❤. INTERNET FRIENDS ARE VALID HUGGSS. I am sure I still have a lot to learn I’m still smol (I accept my flaws and I want to grow).
Oh it’s no problem I LOVE TAGGING (I would literally tag everybody but I think that I’m being annoying and I never know who would like to be tagged 😅)

  3. Yes, that is precisely how it works. You get all the secret adult knowledge and wisdom when you join the secret adults club. I can’t share any of the secrets with you though because then I’d have to kill you 😉

Ahhh Japan also has a creature that’s an umbrella monster????! And another one called a Kappa that has, like a water bowl in its head that has to stay filled with water, and it loves cucumbers! How adorable is that?! Except I think it also eats children, so there’s that.

    1. Oh nooo I guess I just have to wait until I’m older to join your secret society and unlock the key 😂.

Japan is one weird quirky place that I would love to visit one day. And seriously that monster sounds just like me for I too have a love of cucumbers. I don’t eat children I guess but hey let the creature do it’s thing.

  4. Yaaaay! Congratulations on receiving this award ❤ And thanks so much for the nomination!! 😀

I absolutely LOVE How to Train Your Dragon. Granted, I've never read the book, but the movie itself is fantastic. Why can't Toothless be real????? Also, the soundtrack is amazing. And, well, I have a confession. I really like the Percy Jackson movies. I own both of them 🤣 My reason? Logan Lerman. Also, I think it's just really cute and cheesy. I watched the first movie without reading the book, so I thought it was just a fun and goofy film. Then I read the book. I can see how others can hate it so much now 😂 I mean, it's so off-base with the original material, it's hilarious. But I still like the film regardless. I'm addicted to B or C films XD

    1. Ok…I am putting on a though facade…I actually watched both movies 3 times and THEN I read the books because I enjoyed the movies so much….BUT THAT’S JUST BETWEEN US YES SHHHHHH. It’s soooo cheesy but I LOVE BAD CHEESY MOVUES OK 😂. It’s just that I KNOW if I watched them now I would think they are horrible! (Also there’s a Lightening Thief musical and it’s the best adaptation ever tbh).

Awe no problem! I love your blog so of course I nominated you ❤!

  5. AAAAHH IOANA YOU’RE THE NEATEST THANKS FOR NOMINATING ME (This is not contradictory at all because you’re the neatest blogger I know? Hahahaha love you <3)

Lol my friends keep telling me how bad the Percy Jackson movies are and that they got Annabeth's hair color wrong? So nope I've never watched them and I NEVER WILL. Because I don't want them to ruin my love for Percy Jackson!

    1. Aww I love your blog so of course I’ll nominate you ❤.
The movies get a lot of things wrong and they take themselves so seriously it ends up being hilarious. It’s not even a Percy Jackson adaptation its so far from the books 😂. The Lightning Thief Musical is actually the adaptation we didn’t know we wanted but the one we deserved.

  6. THANK YOUUU VERY MUCH FOR NOMINATING ME!!! <333 I'll try to post it as soon as possible! Also, your answers were so amazing! I need to know if you watched the animated show for The Wonderful Adventures of Nils, I remember watching it in my childhood and it was one my absolutely favourites. I looooved it. Also, I haven't watched the PJATO adaptations because I'm scared and I'm pretty sure I'd dislike them, but I really loved the casting for Annabeth and Percy. I really hoped it would be good and now I'm sad whenever I think of this movie. 😦
