Umm…hello. Hi. As you probably might have not noticed I went on hiatus earlier this year. And I thought I should explain why. Maybe some of you can relate or give me some advice for the future who knows.
So the middle of they year has come and the bookish community is collectively freaking out. And since I found out just how much I like tags (and yes maybe they are just an excuse form me to use more gifs ok leave me alone Jen they make everybody happy) I thought I would hop the bandwagon and to this one. Also it sounded really interesting so there’s that.
So…since I went to see the movie with a friend recently (who has also read the book- yay for real life bookish friends), I thought I would make a post reviewing BOTH. Hooray.
I was about time I actually started to full on waffle on this blog. And what better way to do it than by posting a rant about something truly dear to me: booktube.
Teeny declaimer : If YOU want to start a booktube channel you go accomplish those dreams Glen Coco and don’t let any hater-y legume stop you. And if you already have one THAT’S GREAT look at us being nerds and gushing about books on all of the platforms. Truly beautiful indeed let us be different and be happy. Find what is best for you.

This is the second book in a series so spoiler warning for the first book. Go read all of them highly reccomand all of the stabtastic feels and magical badassery (what i actually mean is come suffer with the rest of us).
Ok i am definitely in loveeeeee. *dreamy sigh because i am thinking of Lila Bard and her many sharp knives*
Do you ever finish a book book by an author and find the writing so delicious that you just HAVE TO go on and devour ALL OF THE BOOKS EVER by said author?? Because right now I might just have a small (totally not small) carving for more V. E. Schwab books. (Honestly it is woefully addicting)
Rating: 4.25/5 (this is my blog ok i am allowed to give half-half stars) (quarter stars???)
I must be like, the last person to read this book and write a review. Ha ha ha I HAVEN’T READ A BOOK IN MONTHS HELP ME. Exams put me into a big reading slump but hey i read and loved this book so i have hope for the future.
Also i must admit that i never even HAD cadbury mini eggs before. I didn’t even know how they looked like before i googled them. And now i legit want some. America you have the talent of making sweets seem like they hold the secrets of the universe.
So as a third post I thought what would be more fitting then the newbie tag- for obvious reasons. That being that I am one true newbie.
And because I am a very speshul and unique snowflake type of newbie I decided I must do it with a twist John for I am the most rebellious one to rule them all (and I haven’t read or watched lord of the rings so my whole life as a nerd is fact a lie but that doesn’t stop me from making references). I thought I could maybe put in a little bit of extra information so that you can maybe get an idea on what kind of reader-blogger-person I am because that is what this tag is for. I am obviously making it all better you’re welcome.

Everybody and their mom and their pet hummingbird was raving about how great this book was at the begging of the year so I just HAD TO go and read it. I don’t want to be left out ok please I crave attention and validation.
…and yes this book betrayed me like Brutus betrayed Caesar (big surprise there you saw the rating -you’re probably here to find out WHY I didn’t enjoy it, you want the salt).
Why does this always happen? E tu hype? Must I always be the salty aunt that stays in the corner and can’t have nice things?? Continue reading “Caraval by Stephanie Garber //oh how the hype let me down”
Hello internet (and hopefully some human beings)
Ok so got that awkward introduction out of the way because *surprise* i don’t really know what I am doing. But hey i am sure nobody actually knows how to blog exactly (and if you say you do you are lying) so it’s all fine if it’s a bit awkward.
So my name is Ioana. I am from a small country in Europe called Romania and yes I am aware that the Internet is a scary place and you could all be serial killers for all i know (or an old creepy dude named Greg hugging an anime body pillow according to all parents ever) but i trust that you are just another peaceful Internet creature like myself.
I started this blog so i can talk about all the geeky things i like and not annoy LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE PERSON i am near because “WE GET IT YOU LIKE IT NOW SHUT UP” (ok so i do get a little bit overexcited sometimes i admit). So i thought maybe possibly you , total stranger on the internet, might like these things as well so we can be friends and hold hands and run off into the sunset with matching flower crowns atop our head leaving the muggles to stare at our crazy selves. Because i would like that very much.
Some things that I enjoy are (in no particular order): BOOKS, dogs, marvel movies, buying more books even though i already own 10 unread ones why, sometimes drawing (even though it can be a very taxing hobby- my self-esteem has suffered severe damage over the years), not-marvel comics, acting like an electrocuted octopus when i think about the past…or the future (but time doesn’t really exist so it’s fine), watching cartoons and anime and reading about mythology, folktales and weird creatures on wikipedia at 2 am.
So if you like some of the same things please leave a comment (please i need validation and i crave attention). I am not a three-headed dragon that bites i promise (actually you never know on the Internet…i might be a secret dragon…i might even be a secret Greg *gasp*) . Comments could also help me not feel like i am screaming into a scary endless void and that actual people are actually reading and that would be kinda nice.
i don’t really know what or when my next post will be up but hey i am active on all social media and i would be happy to chat anytime
